Kick the Habit or Kick the Bucket
With so many things going on in your head now, you might be thinking of taking care of your health, if you want to extend your life and not "kick the bucket" soon as you expect it to be. So, you might as well, kick those bad habits out of you, like smoking, and start living a healthy life. It's a good thing that many people like artists, entrepreneurs, sports personalities and artists joined together to launch an effort to campaign about eradicating the vices that shorten lives of the people doing the bad habits - and worse, the people around them as well. That's why this February 26, 2012 at 5am, I will put my support on the campaign "Kick-the-Habit 2:  Run & Love a Healthy Lifestyle" at ULTRA, Pasig City. The campaign is to encourage people to quit smoking - for good. Kick-the-Habit 2 is supported by known personalities like  Cesar Montano, Jamie Rivera, Billy Ray Bates,  Alvin Anson,  Roxanne Barcelo,  Young JV, Jay Lizarondo,  Clarke Nebrao, Victor Aliwalas,  Alven Torres, Alvin Ng,  Ariane Esperas, Lana Roi,  Jojo Toledo and Ely Fenger in cooperation with the Pasig and Mandaluyong City government, Philippine Sports Commission, MMDA, Healthway Medical, Chris Sports and GWorld Inc., Part of the proceeds of the event will go to HOP-E Foundation, a foundation based in the Philippines whose mandate and goal is to overcome poverty thru four elements- Education, Empowerment, Employment and Events. HOP-E is now giving free education for the children and parents in the mountains of Rizal and is also helping to augment the livelihood of the people by giving them work through the HOP-E farm. You can join and support this cause by registering at any register at any Healthway Medical and Chris Sports clinics within Metro Manila or they can contact GWorld Inc. at 719-0184215-0512 or email: gworldeventspecialists@gmail.com  andVisions in Action Enterprises, Inc.at 740-7074 or email: runproudpinoy@yahoo.com. Kick-the-Habit 2 aims to attract 2,000 to 5,000 participants this year in a race track of 3k, 5k and 10k run. By the way, "kick the bucket" is a euphemism for death. Thus, you better Kick the habit of smoking so you don't die early. :-) Happy running, enjoy life, enjoy and live a HEALTHY life.
